Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh: A mysterious explosion at a police outpost in Ghaziabad has triggered a security investigation after a social media account allegedly claiming links to an organisation named Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen Hindustan claimed responsibility for the incident.
The explosion occurred at the Vasundhara police outpost under the Indirapuram police station area at around 9 PM on Friday, November 6. The blast shattered windowpanes and reportedly caused cracks in the walls of the police facility.
However, authorities have not officially classified the incident as a terrorist attack. Preliminary investigations have reportedly found no traces of explosive material, gunpowder or chemical residue at the site.
What Happened at the Vasundhara Police Outpost?
According to preliminary information, the explosion occurred inside the Vasundhara police outpost on Friday night.
A sub-inspector and a food delivery executive were reportedly present at the premises when the incident took place.
The impact shattered two windowpanes and caused cracks in the walls. The delivery executive sustained injuries after being struck by broken glass and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
According to police officials, his condition was stable.

Social Media Account Claims Responsibility
The incident took a new turn after a post appeared on social media platform X from an account named ‘Ghazi 2’.
The account claimed that an organisation identifying itself as Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen Hindustan was responsible for the explosion.
Reports also indicated that the account shared a threatening message targeting the police outpost.
The claim has raised security concerns, prompting authorities to examine whether the explosion was connected to any organised conspiracy.
However, investigators have not independently verified the authenticity of the post or established the involvement of the named organisation.
Preliminary Investigation Finds No Explosive Residue
According to Ghaziabad DCP Rijul Kumar, preliminary investigations at the location found no traces of explosive substances, gunpowder or chemical residue.
An explosion involving the air-conditioning unit was initially considered among the possible explanations.
Authorities are also examining other possibilities, including whether an unidentified object was thrown towards the police outpost.
Forensic samples have been collected and sent for further examination to establish the exact cause of the incident.
UP ATS, Forensic Experts and Bomb Disposal Team Investigate
Considering the seriousness of the incident and the subsequent social media claim, multiple investigation teams have become involved.
The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), forensic experts and the Bomb Disposal Squad have examined the location.
Investigators are examining CCTV footage from nearby areas, technical evidence from the premises and the authenticity of the social media account claiming responsibility.
